Social Club RVA

You bring the appetite, we bring the friends

Expand your social and culinary palette

oh hey, foodie friend!

Welcome to Social Club RVA, a space for Richmond foodies to expand their culinary and social palettes!

Social Club RVA all began with the desire to foster connection over food while highlighting Richmond’s unique food scene. Founded in January 2023, Social Club RVA first focused on hosting monthly supper clubs with the simple mission to visit local Richmond restaurants and make new friends.

In our first year, we hosted 10 sold out supper clubs, 3 specialty collaborations and 9 free meet ups. Unlike other clubs, there are no memberships at Social Club RVA so you can pick and choose which events you want to attend!

Now hosted quarterly, our supper clubs feature an exclusive menu, typically served family style, that highlights the restaurant’s specialty.

Since our establishment, we have shifted our efforts to hosting monthly free meet-ups on the second Tuesday of each month at unique local spots where you can choose your own adventure. Whether you want to sample a flight of beer, grab tacos or just come to make new friends, you can decide what you’re in for at our free meet ups.

Our main goal is to bring the community together over food while supporting local businesses.

“You bring the appetite, we bring the friends!”

Meet the Founder

Gianna Stanley

Gianna is a born and raised Jersey Girl, who left the Garden State to go to college at Boston University to study marketing and statistics. After 8 years in Boston and a career in data analytics, she moved to NYC to pursue her dream of becoming a chef.  Gianna attended the Institute of Culinary Education, became a student volunteer at the James Beard House and went on to work at Michelin-Starred Blue Hill NY before becoming a private chef for a family.

In September of 2020, Gianna landed in Richmond in a short term Airbnb. Naturally she fell in love with this city, the food scene and everything the River City has to offer, so she and her husband settled down here in RVA!

Gianna loves to bring people together, especially over food.

In addition to her work as a Private Chef, she is a certified nutritionist, brand strategist, a fitness instructor with Fit4Mom Richmond and a culinary instructor at The Kitchen Classroom. Gianna serves as the President of the Delta Gamma Richmond Alumnae Chapter, and recently took on the role of Community Director for the Richmond chapter of Ladies Lifestyle Network.

Her favorite place to be is the farmers market, and so it is fitting that she is also the 2023 and 2024 resident Chef at the Market for RVAgriculture.
